Greyhound Take Me Away
Standing on a corner many miles from my home,
Waiting for a greyhound traveling on my own.
Didn't know where I was going only knew where I had been,
Trying to escape reality but insanity I'm back again.
You keep me hanging on
Movin from town to town,
Trying to be famous,
And my worlds turned upside down.
I can't take no more and I'm going,
Leaving here today oh greyhound
Come take me away
Only a little while you promised then we'd find a place,
Well you keep searching for rainbows I'm tired of the chase
I'm gonna go back home wherever that may be,
And stopping thinking of you and start thinking about me.
You keep me hanging on
Movin from town to town,
Trying to be famous,
And my worlds turned upside down.
I can't take no more and I'm going,
Leaving here today oh greyhound
Come take me away
Tears fill my eyes as I get on that greyhound bus,
Reliving old memories just thinking about us.
Looking out the window I see the sadness in your face,
How you found me I don't know but I'm leaving this place.
You keep me hanging on
Movin from town to town,
Trying to be famous,
And my worlds turned upside down.
I can't take no more and I'm going,
Leaving here today oh greyhound
Come take me away
I wave good-bye as the greyhound rolls away,
I really do love you I just couldn't stay.
A travelers life is not for me I need a place to live,
So find your rainbow without me I gave all I can give.
You keep me hanging on
Movin from town to town,
Trying to be famous,
And my worlds turned upside down.
I can't take no more and I'm going,
Leaving here today oh greyhound
Come take me away

This Time
I didn’t know what hit me.
I didn’t want to face the truth,
But I ran out of excuses;

I have to say goodbye to you on Sunday's..
and turn you over to "their" care,
Mommy has to drive away while wishing,
