Top 10 werewolf movies

To pick the top 10 Werewolf movies would be kind of hard, since I am a big fan or horror movies. I can say that my top choice would be The Howling. I simply loved that movie, even as a kid. The werewolves were simply too realistic to me and they scared me to pieces. Each time I watched it, the main werewolf, the guy Eddie became more and more creepy to me.

I also like Stephen Kings movie Silver Bullet. Even though it was a semi short film, I liked the plot. Who would have thought the Werewolf just happened to be the Priest in their small town?

American Werewolf in London is a great one. To watch David Naughton scream as his body transforms into a hideous monster was just too much for words. I remember sitting in the movie cinema with my Parents with my eyes closed, shaking. My Dad reached over and grabbed my arm sending shrills from my throat. My Parents thought it was hysterical, I didn't find it so funny.

The Midnight Hour which came out in 1985 was a terrific movie for the kids. It stared Lee Montgomery (you know the little kid who played in the movie Ben) and it basically had to do with a evil curse on the town of Pitchford, Mass. There was this cool werewolf that just wrecked havoc on the town.

Waxwork had a scene in it that included a young man trapped in a time warp and encountered the bite of a werewolf. He himself gets bitten and becomes a howler of the Moon. That movie came out in 1988 about a evil man trying to release all the horror monsters out into the world to destroy it. The poor guy that got turned into a werewolf, ended up with a silver bullet in this chest, but was still cool while he was around.

While I can't think of exactly 10 best werewolf movies, I will leave you with the last one that sticks in my mind. The movie Ginger Snaps, which came out in 2000. Two creepy morbid Sisters are attacked one night by a monster. As one Sister starts to change and turns by the light of a full moon, her Sister tries to save her as a Sister would do. Even though it was somewhat a cheesy B rated movie, I still liked it.

Just keep in mind, if you and your friend are out one night and your friend starts to twitch when the moon is full or starts howling like a dog, get away fast!
