Essays: Dreams

Dreams are wonderful nightly journeys we can all take for free and they never cost us anything but they are priceless in what they can show us and even teach us if we examine them minutely or we can learn from them also by just trying to see some larger context or bigger picture to them as well.

Here is a dream of mine that just shows to us all the enormous amount of insight and connection to truth that can be obtained I think from each and every dream that we have. Every dream comes to us at the right time and for the right purpose to give us the chance now to see inside ourselves and with the connective feeling of love from ourselves. As we become our own teacher in relation to our dream we can gain such perspectives on life, on love and about ourselves that this type of dream often sends a shiver up my spine that the greater spiritual life and the possibility of knowing about it is very real and I am just thankful I have a chance to participate and be a part of God's universal march towards more love, more truth, more wisdom and more knowledge in us all and for us all.

My Dream:

I dreamed that I was at a railway station somewhere in the country and I was waiting for a train to go back to Melbourne, the Capital City here in the State where I live because I was at the wrong station somehow. I didn't know how I got there or what I was doing there at all. I knew that I was going home to my home town but I was at this station way out there somewhere in the country where I had never been before. I walked across the ramp and along the bridge like structure high above the platforms but connecting them to each other. There were several platforms in this particular country station. The trains were slow to come as I waited on this bridge between the platforms trying to ascertain which platform the train would arrive onto. Then my plan was to run down the ramp quickly and board the train. But for some reason I walked down onto a platform to look around it a bit while waiting and to pass the time. I was then on the wrong platform when the train did come. Quickly I ran up and over the ramp to catch the train but I just missed the train. It went quickly off into the distance even as I was just reaching the entry gate to the platform. And then in my dream I was suddenly now on a double decker bus. Dreams move quickly and shift the picture like that all the time or so I find in my dreams. The stairs to the upper deck were very narrow and cramped to squeeze through
