good teacher, then use his imagination to find a more enjoyable job that employs that aspect of his abilities.
So be imaginative as you discover your talents and skills. If you are a creative thinker and feel that you want to be a novelist, you might also look into marketing or advertising. These industries need people who are able to push themselves to think creatively.
What will support the family
A final consideration to ponder as you try to find out what you want to do for a career is the money. Often, people who are gifted teachers find themselves repelled by the idea of working in the public school system. Why? Because the remuneration in these jobs is horrendous. The truth is, adequate pay for a job is a major contributor to job satisfaction and whether one enjoys the job.
This being the case, we want to make sure that the money consideration comes immediately after or even together with our consideration of what we enjoy and are good at. It is hard to feel good about a job when you are unable to feed your family adequately.
Some final things to think about when you are deciding what you want to do for a job:
* Is the job you are looking at in an industry that will exist for the foreseeable future?
* Similarly, does the company look like it will stay in business for years to come?
* Is there plenty of opportunity for advancement based on both seniority and abilities?
* Is there a good, stable benefits package?
* Will this job require you to travel? Some enjoy jobs like this and others do not.
* Will this job require you to relocate? Do you want to relocate?
