Overcoming Internet blues

Overcoming the Internet blues may be difficult for some people because the strain that the computer puts on their personal life. The best thing to remember is that you are not the only person in this situation. There has to be other individuals out there just like you who are in the same environment going through the same stress whether it be from trying to sell on the Internet, trying to buy on the Internet, or trying to earn a living.

The main problem that continues to get worse is the saturation of business and products to choose from. If you are trying to sell on ebay it becomes harder everyday because there is so much for sale there is no way it will all be sold. It is frustrating to a stay at home mom trying to bring in a little money. Starting a business online is a great idea, but you have to be patient and understand that the marketplace is becoming more crowded as there are more homes with Internet access every year. Learn to stand out and be confident in your product and it will eventually pay off. The first thing I learned in economics is that there is no such thing as a free lunch and the first thing you learn on the Internet is that it takes money to get your product up and selling to making you substantial income.

Then there is the frustration of trying to buy on the Internet and spending hours looking for the best deals just to realize you wasted an hour or more for a couple of dollars. Even more frustrating is finding a great deal and then when you try to purchase they tell you they are out. Why even keep it listed if you aren't going to sell it? One thing to remember in this situation is that when you didn't have Internet you bought from who was the closest and you were fine with that because you didn't know there was a better deal out there. Now that you have the Internet it gives you all the choices you never had even if it does seem like too many choices.

Lastly, trying to find a job on the Internet can be one of the most stressful things. If you are determined to work at home and really want to find a job that will pay you well and not rip you off then you have your research cut out for you. There is so much research to do that they have even come up with companies who specialize in just that. They research respectable, "no scam" jobs and you pay them $50 for a list. The thing they don't tell you, unless you ask, is that after you have paid them you have to turn around and pay the company you want to work for. The stress comes from the thought that you are all along being scammed and wasting a hundred bucks instead of making money like you wanted in the first place. This is probably the hardest to overcome because nobody likes to think that somebody got one over on them. The best thing to do is post a resume and let jobs come to you instead of the other way around. It may take a little longer to find something but at least you know it is reputable and you will most likely get paid.

All in all I would say the Internet blues will never go away. However, if you can see the glass as half full and try to understand that there is a whole world out there doing the same thing you are doing then maybe you can survive on the Internet.
