No WE are to blame for the London Bomb Scares. Before invading Iraq I do not think British born radicals cared enough about the Palestinian problem to be suicide bombers. You have to have a real desire to give up for the cause as did the Saudi Arabians on 9/11. I don't know why they were so motivated but they clearly were and must have planned for years. The British local radicals I believe were responding to Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo and secret renditions. I don't believe that they would have felt any different about it had Osama Bin Laden been killed and we have to get away from thinking the cause will fail when he is dead. We have also had some stupid attempts in England recently which cannot be taken seriously and are merely private desires for attention I believe and a waste of good Doctors training. You know what though, good doctors and lawyers both male and female have strapped on bombs in Palestine when a dear one has been brutalized by a superior occupational force. Someone stated that we have to kill all the insurgents which is a crass and stupid statement as that same statement spoken by the Germans occupying Paris in WW11 would have applied to 90% of the French population. We would be the worst insurgents if occupied. We would react to Abu Ghraib and strap bombs on if dominated and humiliated as a nation? We have to step out of denial and ensure that we neither support brutality or are guilty of it ourselves in the treatment of Arabs. We have to win the peace and stop thinking that we can use power and might to stop the hatred that exists towards us.
