Blended Families

Is it possible to have a happy blended family?

YES.I have children in which three belong to my current partner and the other two are from a previous relationship. The man I dearly love has taken these two children under his wing loved, supported and cared for for the past ten years. He treats them equal to the other three and has always supported them financially.

They call him Dad and give him more respect then they give their own father. When their real dad breaks their heart, their step dad is the one who picks up the peaces.

When is it called a blended family? We have inlaws are they classified as blended? We all have granparents from our side and our partners side, are they classified as blended? When do we start to define blended? How can we classify it as blended considerng we all marry into someone elses family,is this blended?

We are big believers in the theory there is no such thing as blended or step.We believe once a family member always a family member. These days we concentrate to much o if your not blood then your step, but is this true?Shouldn't we treat each other with respect no matter who's loin you come from.Yes you may not come from the fruits of your mothers husband but hey if he is happy to take your mothers hand along with the rest of the family then that shows love and respect.

All families are blended either by marriage or other family members.Love your family as your friend and love your friends as family.
