Why TV is currently a better medium than film

What is better than going to the movies in your pajamas? Going to the movies in your pajamas wrapped up in your favorite blanket, spending little or no cash out of pocket, and still getting high definition surround sound, feel right in the middle of the action quality screen play.

First, with the TV industry stepping up the quality of the shows it is airing and the movies it has available on either the pay-per-view or your standard pay channels, such as, HBO or Cinemax, why go to the movies? The new TV, stereo systems are home theaters. With the high-definition quality picture, surround sound speaker set-up, you have your theater quality right in your own living room. If it is the theater quality picture or sound, you go to the movies for why go?

The cost has become outrageous to see a film today. Some movie theaters are charging from 7.00 to 12.00 a person. Then to have popcorn, candy, or a drink it would double the cost. So your average night out at the movies has now cost you almost 50.00 for two to see a movie. A pay-per-view movie at home could cost as low as 1.99 or 3.99 depending on the movie. The popcorn bought at the store and popped in the microwave is about 2.00 and soda pop is about a 1.5 for a two liter, enough for two. For about 6.00 two can have the same popcorn, pop, and movie at home.

Now for my favorite, going to the movies in your pajamas. When I was a kid, there were drive-in movies and we went in a station wagon with pillows and blankets in our pajamas. That was the fun part. It is all about watching the movies, eating our popcorn, and drinking our soda pop being comfortable.

That is why TV is currently a better medium than film.
