Trust is difficult to gain, and can be lost in an instant. It is the most important part of our relationships. It is the basis of love, friendship, and any other relationship that people share. We need trust in our loved ones and co-workers. We even have to have trust in complete strangers. It plays a huge role in our daily lives, and is irreplaceable. Trust is an amazingly powerful emotion that is enormously important to the bond between anyone.

Trust is difficult to build. By lying to someone, even once, you can damage or even destroy their trust in you, and that can be a fatal move. No matter how many times you tell the truth, or how often you are completely honest, all that trust you have built up can be gone in an instant. With even one careless thought you can crush someone's life completely. having trust broken can be one of the most painful experiences in life, and it is one that no one wishes to go through.

It really isn't too difficult to keep trust though, especially considering how easily it can be destroyed. All it takes is honesty. By doing what you know is right, and treating others how you would like to be treated, you will easily be able to maintain anyone's trust. No one likes to be lied to, so why would someone do it to someone else? Trust is so difficult to gain, and so easily lost. Why should someone do something stupid like lie and destroy that delicate bond?

In some cases it can be rebuilt. There can be several factors involved, including how the trust was lost, or how close the bond is. The best thing to do though is just not to break it. It just causes pain for everyone, and does nothing positive. It is such a delicate emotion, but also amazingly powerful. There are few emotions as powerful as trust, so it should not be taken lightly.
