We're never satisfied with the hair we are given, be it short and curly or long and straight. Redheads wish to be blonds and so forth. Thus we want it changed and we wish to know how to do this.
Take note that this will be time consuming so prepare well beforehand.
Gather all the requisites you will need. These will be:
Blow dryer
Round hairbrush
Flat hair iron
De-Frizz serum
Heat-protection spray
Wide-tooth comb
1) Now prior to having a shower, brush your hair out, assure that the hair is not knotty (by joves that's a mouthful!)
2) Wash the hair but don't uses as much shampoo as you normally would, keep it to a bare minimum.just ensure that all grease-residue build up is gone.Use more conditioner than usual, this will help accommodate for the heat you will be using later. Thus you are trying to rehydrate the hair.Make sure all ends are covered with the conditioner, thus work from roots to ends of strands. Rinse in cold water. Do NOT use hot water for this! Hopefully it is not winter where you are!
3) Don't towel the hair dry, simply squeeze the water out gently, don't brush the hair as this will split it as well as stretch.Comb out tangles very gently (some conditioners have an anti tangle solution in them.
4) Now using the round brush blow dry your hair , use the medium heat setting otherwise you will burn your hair which will lead to serious splitting and damage. Now horizontally section the hair beginning with the back of your head. Now work up to the very crown of your head and begin again in another section.Pull the hair gently but taut with the brush and then follow with the hair dryer.Make sure the hair is completely dry otherwise it will be burned and as frizzy as a mohair jumper!
5) Now the fun begins! Turn the setting on your flat iron to the third that is available. But if you have very thin hair turn it to the lowest setting. Apply a heat protection spray while you wait for this to heat up. Section your hair as you did before and work from the roots to the very end with the flat iron.
Making sure to pull this tight, yet not until you are screaming.Curl the iron under a little at the tips as you pull. This will need to be a done a few times, yet you will be able to judge your needs.Don't over use the iron come back to that section later if needed.
6) You should have nice shiny straight hair by now,yet it does take practice to get it right. It also takes quite a bit of patience as well.
You may be better off with an iron switch as this prevents static hair.Otherwise you will end up looking like Whoopie Goldberg!
You get what you pay for so make sure you buy quality.
Don't use this every day or you will kill the hair follicles.Twice a week is enough.
Only buy the best products such as serums and so forth ask at a salon.
Now take care and remember to turn it off! Houses have been burned to the ground because these have been left on and unattended! Use this away from water, water and electricity do not mix, you can end up electrocuting yourself
