Maintenance on the home itself is the most effective method for saving money on heating costs in the long run. Such products include various forms of foam which help seal any cracks in a window frame, the foam is available in a spray can. Other products include foam liners with adhesive that adhere to the inside of a door frame and metal or plastic mud back splashes for door bottoms, both of which help prevent the escaping of heat and the entering of cold.

Saving on heating doesn't have to be uncomfortable, is easy enough for anyone to try and proves to be helpful and effective for all.
