technical computer problems. When having trouble of any kind, communication with the instructor and school staff is highly recommended. Be sure to attend seminars, if offered, every week. It also helps to have a back-up computer available, for the times your main computer decides not to work properly!

In addition, an on-line student may feel more isolated from the school's society. There is so little interaction between students, instructors, and classmates that a pupil may feel alienated. Joining school clubs and getting involved with study friend programs help build the student's morale. Exchanging email addresses, phone numbers, and instant messenger identifications with other students and instructors is a great way to obtain immediate help when you may need extra support or encouragement. Moreover, extracurricular activity involvement looks good on a resume and helps to build up an important network for employment purposes.

To succeed in an on-line university or life in general, just remember to use good critical thinking skills. After, determining what is needed, create a detailed plan of action, and then adhere to the plan. Stay focused, keep a positive attitude, and use strong determination to achieve your dreams. This is how I came to be successful as both, an on-line and on-campus, student. In the past, I have been a good student, making the honor roll all through high school, and Dean's List throughout two semesters at Saddleback Jr. College, as well. I am proud to say I recently maintained a 4.0 (out of a possible 4.0) GPA during all four semesters I attended Kaplan University online, as well. If I can use these methods to become a successful student, then so can anyone else!
