This title made me laugh as only this year, have I taken to the Internet as a source of hopefully boosting my income. My mum has often told me that I would make money with computers, so this article is to my mum, bless her.

My first ever job was with a computer company (name of which I will keep from you) as I know they went into liquidation and reformed again and are I believe still trading. In those days and we are talking about 29 years ago, (god I cant believe its that long) computers were very new and there was lots of competition. I thought it was great that I would not break my nails pounding away on an Adler typewriter anymore and that also once I had typed something, it would remain in a memory, even the IBM golf-ball typewriter had a little memory. I remember countless times having to retype various documents, using carbon paper and no end of Tippex to cover up the mistakes. I can tell you, all my jobs after that were with companies who had computers and from there I knew that I would one day do something more constructive with a computer.

I brought my first computer two years ago, and I have never looked back, upgrading software, hardware, downloading this and that (paid for downloads of course) and now writing on various channels little articles. Doing something I love doing and thats writing.

If it means a 1.00 more in my bank account, then I will click away for as many 'ssss as it takes. In the comfort of my own home, without having to fight then on the beaches each morning to get to work. Although I have to be honest here, I do actually work part time, so I do have to venture into the big smoke two days a week, but so look forward to my other job where I can sit in my pyjamas if I want to, (Funnily enough) cant do this very well, and still dress up smart casual at my computer, really I do. Put my make up on and do my hair as if I am going to work normally, it makes me focus better and I am dressed to work.
