THE KEY TO ENJOYING LIFE

I want to rely on myself-
Nobody else.
Pick myself up when I fall.
Not count on others
To be my father or mother.
I stand alone, proud and tall.

I want to fight
Through my dark night.
Prove to myself I can win.
Mastering my mind, releasing the binds
That imprison me within.

To be truly free
I take responsibility
For all I think, say and do.
The karma I create
Determines my fate.
Each day I'll begin anew.

I make myself this vow-
To live fully NOW.
Enjoy my life totally.
Whether clear skies or rain,
Whether pleasure or pain,
Being true to myself is the key.
