Reflections: An average middle class US Citizen's views on issues

Our country has just plain gone out of control. Our government just does what it wants to, giving no regard whatsoever for the want of the people. The president, the congress, our governors, none of them seem to be listening to what the people are saying. I don't mean the lobbyists either. We are tired of seeing our elected officials being bought and paid for every day. There are very few of them who haven't dipped into the honey pot or has some sort of strange sexual preference. I see our country roaring down a freeway, an eighteen wheeler with no brakes. McCain, Obama, Clinton, not none of those people are going to stop us from crashing.

We invade countries without regard of what other nations think, and while we claim we want democracy in Iraq, and in the Middle East, our own rights get trampled by The Patriot Act, this wire tap disaster and many other "big brother-ish" pieces of legislation passed since September 11, 2001. We claim we want peace around the world while we not so secretly make our war plans against Iran, and now Russia. We aren't stupid, if you read all these Georgia vs. Russia stories, at the end you see that Georgia started it.

Our kids are forced to take mind altering medicine, so they go around shooting up schools and malls. If you look back at many of the infamous school shootings, you will see that the shooter or shooters were on some kind of "behavior" medication. Isn't this medicine supposed to be given to fix these mental issues? If you ask me, shooting up a school, or killing your grandparents is not better behavior that restlessness and temper tantrums, both of which are normal for kids, ask any parent from an older generation.

Regardless of what you may think, racism is still ingrained so deeply in our country, that it has negative ramifications for all of us, no matter what our ancestry. Our citizens care more about Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton, or the NFL, than they do who is running our country, and sending our boys to their deaths over a huge pack of lies. Once again, our government lies to us costing an uncountable about of human death, suffering, and enemy building and most of us say nothing, and even keep the people in office who lied to us. The democrats in congress lied to get into office too, saying they would bring troops home, then one of the first things they did was send in more. I mean what more do you need than the fact the congress has a lower approval rating than George Bush. How is that when you have Dick
