Chapter One
In a Tizzy
Spring was outraged! She could not believe Winter's blatant disregard for her wellbeing or her job. He knew she was a rookie when it came to changing the weather. In fact, he said that he'd show her the ropes when he had time. So, earlier that day Winter blew into her room and announced that school was in. He led her to the giant map of the earth that hung in his "classroom". Winter then picked up a laser pointer and cleared his throat.
"Class is now in session. Please take a seat. Thank you." He pointed to the map. "You see this, baby sis. This is a map of the earth."
"No kidding." Spring's sarcasm was ignored as Winter continued.
"The folks down in, uh. . .let's say Hawaii. They never really get the chance to experience the fabulousness that is I. So from time to time I like to switch things up a bit."
Spring rolled her eyes so hard, she thought they would stick.
"If you would please, direct your attention to cloud nine."
Winter picked up the remote from his desk and pressed the "on" button. Hawaii came into view. He zoomed in on Maui. The picturesque scene was breathtaking. There were children splashing in the ocean as their parents lazily drank fruity drinks from coconuts. There was also an older couple strolling hand in hand along the shore while seagulls darted to and fro looking for remnants of food. He zoomed in a little further to a television station. The weatherman announced that it would be a beautiful, sunny, day as usual. For a brief moment, Spring forgot all about her "lesson". She got up and walked toward the happy scene.
"Dude, don't get too close, ok? This is when the magic happens."
Winter tossed the remote on his bed then laced his fingers together. He proceeded to stretch and wiggle them to loosen them up. He walked over to cloud nine and paced back and forth for a moment. Then he circled it a few times to see the entire view. He finally decided to focus on the young couple that was now happily sunbathing.
"Watch and learn, baby sis. Watch and learn." He took a long, deep breath then exhaled.
"This is a little technique I like to call the chill."
Finally, Spring thought. Just when She was really ready to learn, Winter closed his eyes and started to chant.
"Izzay, mizzay, shizzay. Chaka Zulu sock it to you."
"Will you cut it out! Come on. Hurry up!" Spring punched Winter so hard that her knuckles ached.
"Whoa there! Patience, little one. Patience. Perfection takes time, ya know."
"Whatever, Winter. I'm out!" Spring marched towards
