Hi, my name is Dave, I live on 2 acres in North Carolina with a wife and 5 year old son. In 2005 I was diagnosed with full blown aids with a case of cryptococcal menengitis. Before moving to North Carolina I had a rather promiscuous lifestyle, I slept around not really caring about myself, usually drunk off my a&&. The whole time I was going to school to become and electrician so I would work during the day, go to school at nights 3 times a week and then party the other times. It seemed to work fine for a while, I was making good money, meeting alot of people and having fun so I thought. Finally I sold my house in California and moved to N.C. At this time was beginning to feel weak and didn't really know why. After a few months I finally collapsed and ended up in the hospital. Ill never forget when they came to my bedside and told me I had AIDS. It was heartbreaking, but I knew I had asked for it. I recovered for the most part, I have problems with my eyes and with focusing now and lost a good job and ended up on Social Security disability at 44 years old. As I write this I am having problems with my vision, things to me always appear watery and out of focus, its the way my life is now and I have to deal with it. I have a beautiful family that helps me through all of this. There have been times I have been suicidal but Im still here so I guess thats all that matters. Maybe you reading this will make you stop and think before drinking and partying with different people. You never know when you will get this or from who. It has no face, it could be a gorgeous woman or man or someone not so attractive. Its just a mean nasty disease that you don't want because in some cases the after effects are lifelong. Be well, and think with your brain!
