Evolution Vs. Creationism
When approached on this topic one cannot help but to feel that there are some similarities. If a person were to look in genesis s/he could find several references that support evolution, however the actual difference lies not in the rhetoric within, but more with the interpretation. So what is the real difference between the two? It is a matter of how one perceives the world around them. Evolutionists' view "how" we got here, whereas creationists' view "why" we got here. For example, one could look at a vehicle in which I drove to the gas station. One could see how the vehicle runs by looking at all of the moving parts (like the motor), s/he could also follow the trail all the way back to where the vehicle originated. However, s/he could not decisively glean why I actually went to the gas station, was it for gas or was it for a bag of Andy Capps, perhaps it was because of the cute girl behind the register or maybe I just felt like going to the gas station? The only individual that could know would be me. The evolutionists view would be the individuals who dissected the vehicle and saw the route that was taken, whereas the creationist view would be my reason why I went to the gas station. The real question betwixt the difference would inevitably be the actual difference between why and how; is the difference then at odds? It certainly can be, however, I do not think so.
I believe in God therefore I can observe God's universe implying that God created it just so, in a sense the whole idea is to get closer to God. I am amazed at the intricacies, from the particles that make up an electron to a quasar out in the vast and everything in-between and beyond. I can just imagine the beginning with God standing amidst chaos; God slams his fist down shouting something like, "There will be order!" Then chaos conforms to God's wishes because it has no choice (the big bang if you will).
Evolution is order beholden to chaos, in other words evolution adapts to entropy to form order. It is God's wish to have order and evolution is his perceived law! Perceived in this instance is our current understanding of how things work. Perhaps one may think that evolution is wrong, or a gimmick, after all it is only a theory. What is a theory? In common language a theory is essentially conjecture, or an opinion. In science a theory is a testable occurrence across a gradient of fact neither subject to conjecture nor opinion. It is how an observed
