My husband is from Pakistan and after three years we are finally together. He arrived here in July. Now I don't know Paki food and he is learning.We love to cook together so we learn some good stuff together. Here is something simple and yummy we love to make.Forgive me because I never use measurements, and I don't know exact.
Potato ( three medium makes about nine patties)
garlic
spices to taste ( curry type)
pepper flakes
salt
egg
Boil potatoes until they are soft enough to mash but still a little firm. Mash them and
add fresh crushed garlic, salt, pepper flakes and a pinch of favorite paki/indian spice such as curry, or some types of mas-ala)
Roll into a ball about two inches , then pat into a patty,
take the egg and beat well dip patty and cover both sides with egg
Fry in skillet with oil (not too deep) turning until golden brown on each side.
drain with spatulla and place on platter
top with yummy cucumber yogurt.
Cucumber Yogurt
Mountain High Plain Yogurt (or some of the middle eastern brands)
fresh crushed garlic (i love alot)
cucumber shredded with cheese grater
salt
and pepper flakes
add all together as desired , and top the potatoes.
