Just about every horror movie i have ever seen has something to do with blood and guts. I have to say, it would be really nice to just have a good suspense horror. That may sound confusing, so I'll explain. I want to see a movie that has little blood, and A WHOLE LOT of suspense. I want to be about to fall off my chair wondering if that always stupid actor/actress will walk right into a trap. Another thing i don't like about horror movies is when the actors do those stupid things. We have all gone through that part of a horror where the main character is about to do something we all know they will end up regretting. Which leads into us yelling at the television saying, "Don't do it Jerry! It's a trap!" Thats great every now and then, but for once, I'd love for the main character that's supposed to have straight A's, actually have a brain.
Whenever i see a horror, i find myself barely looking at the screen, for fear of seeing something i would have nightmares over. Some of you out there might enjoy seeing the other side of the human body, but people like me would like to see them as a whole person. I was watching The Decent a while back in theaters, and i was sitting with my legs up in the chair, holding on to my shins for fear of the bone popping out somehow.
I'm sure most of you have seen The Grudge right? Well thats the kind of movie I'm talking about. Sure there was a little blood, but that was needed to make it a horror. The part i loved was that i actually didn't know what was going to happen next. I'm a huge movie buff, and in practically every movie i see, i can immediately tell how its going to end, EXCEPT for The Grudge movies. So thats it in a somewhat large nutshell. I hate horror movies because they aren't really horror movies, they're gore movies.
