Dangers from mosquitoes are many. It spreads Malaria and other diseases. Even otherwise it can kill your sleep and be most irritating thing in the world. It is found in almost all climatic conditions. Global action is need to check the menace of mosquitoes.

Mosquitoes often stays in places which are not or least disturbed, like store rooms, waste bins, roof tops, etc. Stagnant water serves as breeding ground for it.

Many types of mosquito repellents are available in the market. But the efficacy of them are doubtful. Regular use of one item makes mosquitoes immunue to it.

So the safest way to keep away mosquitoes is to keep the house and its surrounding clean. Do not allow mosquitoes to stay and breed inside the house. Use mesh in windows and doors. Do not keep the windows open in the evening, this is the time when mosquitoes start rushing into the house. Oil of 'Neem' (botanical name: Azadirachta Indica) is know to be the best natural oil to destroy mosquitoes. Mosquito coils and mats may be harmful, the more for children. If you use mats, do not throw the used one. Out a few drops Neem oil in it and reuse it.
