The Daily Wind (rhymes with mind)
After all was said and done,
there was only the winding of his watch that kept him regular.
Every morning after the taking of a cup of joe,
the shearing of the daily scratch,
the tasting of the toast and jam.
On with the shirt out of the dry cleaning shroud,
the push,
twist,
turn of the cufflink locks.
Then the strapping of the chrono-meter,
the back and forth of the sping-loaded moment machine.
