Reflections: My husband is a father

My Husband, a father of two beautiful girls that was meant to be. I knew from the first time he looked into his daughter's eyes and said, "I'm your Daddy", from there on I knew they would share that special bond. He is there for every boo boo, every joy, and every monster hiding under the bed. He is a father who has to hold himself strong for our oldest daughter, But breaks down in hurt when she is away.

Our oldest Daughter was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of two which only effects her left leg. My husbands heart felt shattered so he did what Daddy's do best, bought a puppy. He is there for her through every challenge, wish, and dream. As he would say to his daughter's, "The sky's the limit". He Gave them so much courage in believing they can do anything. Now our oldest daughter at the age of five, can ride a two wheeler bike, she is involved in gymnastics, and is above her kindergarten learning level.

There are times my husband looks overly exhausted after a long day at work, but he will fight his tiredness just to have that special quality time together. I always said, "Daughter's like father" and how much they are.

Every night at eight o'clock they all run into the kitchen for their night time snack, and plop them on the living room couch. Then they fight over the remote, I bet you can guess who wins. Within an hour all three of them are snoozing away. Our oldest daughter will not go to sleep unless her daddy is holding her hand. She says by him holding her hand it keeps the bad dreams away.

There are many father's out there who choose to miss that special bond with their children. My Husband, would not miss it for the world. My intuitions always told me he would be a great father, and he has proved it more and more every day.

I must say, I am very lucky to have a great husband and the best father our daughters could ask for. I would not change anything about him.

To my loving husband and the best daddy in the world,

Thank you for the love you have given us, and the strong family you have inspired us to accomplish. We have written this article for the world to see how much you mean to us. Your commitment to our family is the truest love one can ask for. We Love You Always.
