Humor: Conflict

Oh what to write? Oh what to write? I cannot think, of a thing to write. Oh the dreaded writer's block.

Today I have writer's block. When I close my eyes to think of something to write, maybe something clever, or witty, or funny, I get nothing - nada, zero, zilch. When I close my eyes and search my brain for an idea, I see a big, black, empty space in my brain. It's like looking at a tv screen with no picture. I believe there is an echo it is so empty. Hellooooo? Hellooooo? Hellooooo?

As I sit here staring at my computer screen hoping that something, anything, will pop into my head and give me a glint of inspiration, I get worried. What if I am out of ideas? What if I never have another idea again? What if any chance of being a famous writer is gone as I am out of ideas? I need ideas!

I once made a promise to myself that I would write a little something every day, no excuses allowed. Well, unless something happened and I couldn't get to a computer because I was in a car wreck and couldn't use my hands or something, but otherwise, no excuses. Write, write, and write some more. So, in keeping with my promise, this is what I came up with. Writing about having nothing to write. Move over Shakespeare.

So, this truly is a blog about nothing. If I think of something later that I think people might enjoy reading, I will type it up and share it with the world. I must reassure myself that ideas will come when I least expect them and that I will never really run out of ideas, I just need to take a break and come back at a later time and all will be fine. I hope your brain is more active than mine today and you get something accomplished and have many, many ideas floating around between your ears, at least more than I have, and maybe you will come up with more than a blog about nothing.
