From my own experience, I believe that God himself sends us dreams. I saw the Virgin Mary in my dream, but was that me just dreaming or was that sent of God?
It is sent of God because it was not like my other dreams- I remember it vividly every detail and she appeared with her Son Jesus with such bright lighting in my dream-in the first dream I saw a firecracker effect where it was red but there was no sound-intense red. The second dream there was a bright light -it was glowing gold all around her frame. God is not like anything on this earth, the light that surrounds him too is not either. And my dream exhibited that.God makes his revelations to us if he chooses through dreams.

I went to a priest to reveal my dream -but what did it mean, no one could really tell me. Was I blessed to see her image and their power? Yes, I believe so.
They say no one actually sees the face of God and lives in the Bible, except the face of Jesus which came in human form, but i did not see him upclose-it was a dark night and he was on a wooden cross...
At the time of my dream, I also saw an angel come down from heaven and it was bringing forth a ball of red light-i remember his form and face and I started to look into the catholic books after that to find which particular angel he was. It was exactly in this one particular book and it was the archangel Michael-I had never known of him before nor prayed to him-but through my dream, I knew that was God telling me to pray to him.
God does send spiritual dreams every now and again, but does he actually make revelations in his dreams? Yes, he does. For Christians and others if God leads you, believe in the Holy Bible and His Word and message for everything in it is true- I saw that in my dream-their beauty was breathtaking, their charisma unspeakable. Even if I were to go on, I could not do them justice. But my life has changed since and everything I do, I do with renewed vigor and faith that God speaks and reveals personal truths about our faith in dreams also.
