"When the children cry....never knowing why..."

They are born into a country at war. By the time they are eight years old, they know how to handle a machine gun. Their friends have been shot dead right before their eyes. They, too have been wounded, but can go back out and fight.

They get up in the morning hungry, but there is no food. They search for something to eat, but for several days now, there has been nothing. They hear their little brother and sister crying from hunger but there is nothing that they can do....but watch them starve. Their bones can be seen beneath their opaque skin. One day they will not wake up.

They are a family on the run from the rebels. The rebels will kill them when they find them. They will torture the men, rape the women, dismember the children. They kill them because they are a different race. Their skin is a different color.

They cannot look up for fear that it will seem to be too forward and they will be beaten. The young girls cover their heads and faces to keep the laws of chastity. If they displease their man, they can be beaten or even hanged.

In the secret night they come. They come with their young ones to force them into pornography. They come to sell their children as young as babies for sex for money. It doesn't matter that it is their own child, they will sell them into slavery.

They leave them in garbage cans, they birth them in toilets, they cook them in microwaves, they beat them with two by fours, they burn them with cigarettes, with hot water, or holding their hands over a stove, they will put them in basements and leave them for two weeks with only a little water, they will beat them with belts, hang them with towels, stab them with knifes, break their little bones, they will shake them until they are dead, make them drink acid, they shoot them, molest them, and hide them in dungeons, they bury them alive, and force them to take part in unspeakable acts, they cut them with knifes and pour acid with in, they will put pillows over their faces, drown them in tubs, make them eat dog food or vomit or stool, they will put them in chains, tie them with ropes, .... these....these ....our children.

Dear God in Heaven,
Why do the children have to suffer? Why are they made to feel the pain of adults who are violent, hateful, and horrible? Why must they be hungry? Why must they fight to stay alive just one more day? Why must they live in fear of adults? Why must they know the horrors of war? Why must they see this hate first hand?

Do you hear the Children Crying, Dear God. Please God. The children are crying...
