Drugs and teenagers: Angry thoughts

Everyone in society today is exposed to drugs and drug use on an almost everyday basis both on the television and media and in real life. Drugs are now much more accessible by everyone than they were even as little as 10 years ago, with the largest proportion of the activity being undertaken by teenagers. Today drugs aren't taken as seriously as they were in years gone by, and people are these days much more eager to take them without considering the side effects. People in todays society are under more and more stress than they ever have been, and many people, especially teenagers use drugs as a way to help them relax and deal with the stresses they face all the time.

There are many reasons why a teenager might want to take drugs in the first place, everything from just general stress, to serious depression and self destructive thoughts, and even using things like steroids to make themselves bigger and more muscular. What a lot of them don't realize is that there is always a price to pay for having taken the drugs, and that their moods and thoughts are going to be affected while they are under the chemical influence that drugs bring.

There are many drugs that can alter your mood when taken, speed or steroids for example can make some people extremely angry and aggressive, which is something a lot of people overlook when they are taking them. Also when addicted to any particular drug people will become a lot more aggressive and violent when they are looking for their next fix. A lot of teenagers use drugs as an escape from their stressful lives and don't realize that they are only a temporary solution, and will only make their lives more difficult as time goes on and they start to rely on them more and more.
