The Constitution of the United States of America has been used and abused by people who do not even know its significant let alone read it. In fact, only 1% of the people of the USA have read the Constitution to understand its significance.
One of the tenants of the Constitution has been to separate Church and State, Church from Personal Life, State from Personal Life. There is a clear division between Church, State, and Personal Life which must be respected.
The Government has no business intervening in the lifestyle of others or forcing people to live the way they do not want to be. If there is anything that will come from this is the fact that the USA might be headed for dissolution.
A Private Institution has the right to accept or not accept those that they do not want. That is their prerogative and if the State starts intervening, things will become to unravel.
It is the same as living in a place. The State should not interfere in elections [it has in favour of Republicans and Democrats], should not interfere in Church, should not interfere in Education, and should compete with the Private Sector for the same products since the State is a business whether the people like the concept or not.
