SPINACH DIP IN A BREAD BOWL!
Even picky eaters who wouldn't dare put a bite of spinach near their mouth love this dip recipe! It's colorful! It's tasty! It's healthy!
Spinach Dip in a Bread Bowl, is a very attractive addition to any party table and it's great to take to holiday gatherings. It's easy to make and keeps well when left over (IF there are any leftovers....yes it's that delicious!)
1 envelope Lipton vegetable recipe soup mix
1 (16 oz) sour cream
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 small jar pimentos
1 (10 oz) frozen spinach, chopped (thawed and squeezed out)
1 large round bread bowl
Blend envelope of Lipton soup mix with sour cream, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Stir in pimentos and thawed spinach. (Be sure you have squeezed all water from the thawed spinach for best results)
Spoon spinach dip into a bread bowl and serve with chunks of bread from making the breadbowl, or of course, vegetables and / or chips.
NOTE: I have also made this dip with Lipton Onion Soup Mix and it's also very tasty!
Other ingredients can be added, if desired, such as: chopped mushrooms, onion powder, salt/pepper, garlic, parsley, red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese...etc... Just experiment with the taste and textures and enjoy!
