I theory for throwing any good party is to focus your attention on all the little details that you can add to make the party truly unique and a memorable experience for your guests. If you take the time to send invitations and plan a party, take the extra time to make the party a success by adding little details.

One of the ways I insure a successful party is by allowing myself plenty on time to plan the event. I love to have something to look forward to, be it a trip or a party with friends. Planning ahead allows time for your creative juices to flow and for you to put the details into place.

I love making unique Halloween decorations and foods that will get all the guests talking. Planning a great costume takes time, so be sure to give yourself time for the party planning, as well. I love to start decorating a couple weeks before the party. Halloween is great because you can make so many things inexpensively and they will be perfect for the party! Orange rope lights, cob webs on the outside windows and the mirrors and pictures in the house! If you have a fake tree in the house decorate it with a small strad of orange lights. Hang bats and streamers. One year our best homemade decoration was our huge spiders we added to the cob webs throughout the house. We took an egg carton and cut the bottoms cups out, spray painted them black and added pipe cleaners for the legs. They looked really cool. We added them throughout the house.

Take time to research all the cool recipes online. Create a menu that is sure to keep your guest talking for weeks after the party. Have fun and each year you will learn more and more ways to keep your party at the top of the best halloween event of the year list in your neighborhood.
