The best teaching you can give your child on prejudice
situations is honesty. That problem is always going
to be around and your child will see it in school, on
the streets, on the job, and on the television.
We must realize that sugar coating the is issue our
children will never know the truth on how to deal
with it. We must tell them the whys, and nothing
more. Parents today don't have a clue about
why it happen.
I've been around long enough to know that it
exist because folks of other races feel they
are superior to others. Not only that they
treat others that way to make themselves
feel good, they have nothing else better
to do with their time and knowledge.
I teach my children to ignore those types of
people, because you can't change their way
of thinking. My children know who they are
and no one can tell them differently, no
matter what.
Some times folks can hate themselves so
this is why they choose to be prejudice,
if a person hate a certain race, what
does that say about them. It says I
am ignorant, and I hate myself.
I could be wrong, but think about it.
My motto is, when you get to heaven do
you think it will be just your race of
people their.
Remind your children that being prejudice is a learned
behavior and a cycle of hatred and self hatred that must be
broken and it can start with them as children.
