Ten things to remember when your life stutters:
If you're anything like me and prone to feeling a little down on occasion, I use a few points to help me get back on track and feeling happy and excited about life again! Hope it helps...
1.Make a list of the things you love about yourself and refer to it when you feel down. Do things you love that make you happy and give you that warm feeling inside.
2.Have a good whinge then get on with your life! How many times do we sit around complaining about the same old story for ages and ages! Have a good old gripe then move on.
3.Surround yourself with like minded people and individuals who inspire you in some way. If anyone makes you feel bad about yourself, don't spend any any unneccessary time with them. You need people who make you feel great and who you can also inspire.
4.Never stop learning. Life is about learning new, complicated and enjoyable things. Don't be afraid to try something new.
5.Denial really is a river in Eygpt. Be fully aware and deal with difficult situations as they arise.
6.Rejection should never be taken personally. It does not mean you're worthless, rather that you're not right for that person / job. But remember you're definitely right for something/ someone else.
7.Stop comparing yourself to anyone else. Your life is not theirs and visa versa. Comparison only leads to disappointment. You have your own journey to make and your own story to tell. Don't deprive future generations of your own story.
8.Nobody is perfect, so learn from your mistakes. Take the positive things from the experience and use them next time, when a similar situation is bound to arise. Use the negative points as a warning.
9.Go sit in a park and watch a beautiful sunset/ sunrise and think about the natural beauty in the world (ie, the world without ipods, tvs and American idol to numb our brains!)
10.Remember there is only one YOU. You are unique, amazing and there is no one in the world exactly the same as you. Celebrate it!
