I fully support the view; driver's license should not be issued to illegal immigrants. The word illegal' itself signifies that they are not bona fide residents of US, hence giving them the driving license is out of question. Providing them with driver license will be contradictory to their very status illegal'.

Securing our southern border is a major concern for the US government. Nothing concrete has been achieved yet. The economic disparity between the United States and Mexico is largest known between any two neighboring countries of the world. Hence the huge influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico into America.

Illegal immigrants should not drive in any US state without a valid driver's license; which is a crime, other than more heinous crimes which they commit. They can use public mode of transport, whatever best is available. At least they should have a valid driving license from their home country, or some sort of International Driving Permit which is valid for a short span of time.

Issuing a driving license is as good as naturalization. A driver's license is a vital photo identification document. Possessing a driving license will make these immigrants almost legal because it will help them to avail basic amenities like leasing an apartment, opening a bank account, checking in hotels and searching job.

Deporting millions of illegal immigrants is a daunting task. The government should come out with a solution to check future illegal immigration. The existing illegal residents should be shown the path to citizenship conditionally; making it mandatory for them to learn English Language and doing a thorough background check. Those indulging in drug trafficking and other crimes should be punished and deported.

America is the land of opportunities and land of immigrants. People from all walks of life across the world have made their fortune here. Everybody comes here with a dream, for a better living.

As a matter of fact, these illegal immigrants provide a huge work force for construction and agriculture industry which an average American citizen would hate to do. Strict immigration laws are not yet enforced, as it is a win-win situation for both; illegal immigrants as well as for Corporate America.

Illegal immigrants in large numbers are thriving well in US soil. To conclude I would say, issuing the driving license to illegal immigrants, will not solve any purpose. The illegal problem is deep rooted which requires concrete solution from the US government.
