The mossies.. mosquitoes bites on human and other warm blooded mammals as these insects have sensors that can sense heat within few hundreds meters away. THey also have strong affinity for carbondioxide which is given out when we breathe. Strange but true, sweat does attract mosquitoes and it is proven that people with blood type A, B, or AB attract mossies more than type O people. Well, it is not known for sure why this is so.. perhaps it can be that type A, B, AB has got the glucose carbohydrate chains on the surface of the red blood cells, while type O means NO carbohydrate chains on the red blood cells surface.. so mozzies dont like,
Female mosquitoes often bite human to get blood for laying her eggs..
Most mozzies are quite harmless...but the Aedes and Malaria are the killers in the tropical countries.
