Why humans attract mosquitoes

Various species of mosquitos, look for blood od big animals and this is made by the femeles to feed the eggs that they're going to lay.
To find its victims, the mosquito is attracted by the the typical smells of our body. The variability of these personal smells explains the fact that some persons are more frequently attacked than others.
The insect is also attracted by the CO2 emitted by our body with breathing and transpiration and can feel the increase of CO2 near our body, expecially during the night.

Also sweet parfums attract much mosquitos, so, women must pay a high price for their seduction projects during sunmmer evenings.
Another well-known thing attracting great armies of mosquitos is artificial light in open rooms during the evening.
What is repellent for mosquitos is the use of aromatic substances from plants on our skin, expecially in the uncovered parts of our body.
The most used products are lotions or sprays containing the essential oils of
GERANIUM, LAVENDER, CITRONELLA, rather concentrated to be more persistent.
But the most effective is a product, well known with the commercial name of AUTAN, (in stick or spray) that contains a synthetic molecule, the
N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide. I also have used id and its effect is very good, but I preferred to use the stick version, to apply on the skin, because the spray is easier to breath as you put it on your skin.
Then, also ULTRASOUND emitters are effective; they're small, portable and you can also put them near your bed at night.
