Mosquitoes might have caused sleepless nights to many especially in developing countries.The city were i grew up,is a place where mosquitoes breed faster than you can imagine.The number of mosquitoes biting you will be similar to population explosion in China in my opinnion.Around 6pm you can hear buzzing sound of mosquitoes in your ears.It will subside by about 8 pm.Again it will start attacking you when you sleep.If there is no power supply in the night,the attacks will be much beyond your imagination.The worst of all things is inability of authorities concerned to keep city clean and neat with proper waste disposal.This creates sleepless nights for many city residents.
The reason why i think mosquitoes bites only certain individual is because:
1.Mosquitoes are attracted to the chemicals our body secretes.Also amount of sweat excreted is another factor.
2.Affinity to certain blood groups.
Mosquitoes breed faster especially in cities(due to air pollution from vechicles) and forest areas due to high concentration of Co2 in air.
