Thinking of venturing your business into the online world? Or maybe your business is already existing in the world wide web? In business, both online and in the physical world, there are ethics for us to take note of. Here are some of the worthwhile ones:
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Remember always that the customer is your priority. Being online, you should keep in touch with your customers. When they send in a query regarding your product, reply right away. Ideally, a correspondence should take place within 1 to 3 business days. This would let a potential online client know that you really are online and not just a fly-by-night operation.
Always follow through. On what business you are engaged in, whether it is a service or selling items, follow up on a customer's orders. Keep them posted on the status of their order.
Do not ever spam. It is okay to promote your online business but make sure you know your limitations, on when to back off. Attracting customers is a good business action but irritating people is another thing.
Use proper language and typing in corresponding. Being an online business, you have to interact business speaking-wise also. Do not be presumptuous in having a typical chat lingo. Your customers are there for business purposes, not being an online buddy. Take note of proper etiquette also in typing.
HONORING YOUR COMMITMENT. Ahead of time, you should be able to tell if you can accommodate a client's order. Let them know immediately if you can commit to it. Or, under rare circumstances that you suddenly have to pull back out of an order, inform the customer of it. Do not ever just cancel out on a customer without notifying them first. If there are any changes in their orders to be made, again, inform them. Honoring your business commitment is a great key in a successful business. Especially online, people would know about it from other satisfied customers who would give good words regarding your reputable business.
