To be a writer

Irrespective of the type of writing you are involved in, whether its creative or technical, to achieve the best result requires serious endeavor on the part of the author.
The concept that writing is a 'process of trial and error' is not strictly correct. Writing is a learning process. As with other artistic talents, writing is an art that needs to be nurtured and channeled if you want to be successful at it. To achieve this, learn the five steps.

1) Prewriting - There is a lot of work to be done even before one starts on a writing project. Whether the writing is technical, where you have a predetermined subject or an experience to base the document on, or creative writing where you use your own imagination, it is necessary to thoroughly and extensively study the subject first. Commit everything to paper, the order does not matter at this stage of the process The aim of this is to ensure that what you are writing contains all the relevant information surrounding the story line or subject.
Another aspect of prewriting is branching. Here you take the central idea and, by branching off from that will begin to build up a complete picture of the subject or novel, how it has developed and the path it has taken to the present, and may take in the future. In other words where you are going with it.
It is a good idea to discuss your ideas or subject with others. By doing this, you will get their viewpoint on the value of your manuscript, and in addition it could produce different ideas.
2) Planning - It is important not to rush the writing process. This is why planning is so important. You need to plan carefully, developing each stage in a logical order. Planning for a particular writing project starts before you put pen to paper. First of all you need to plan time. This is relevant if you have a deadline, and even if you dont. If you are serious about becoming a writer you need discipline.
The next important step is to organize all your thoughts and ideas. In non-fiction writing you also need to plan the research and evidence collected from the prewriting sessions. All of these need to be placed in a logical order for the final writing so that it flows properly and is readable. For example, with a novel it would be foolish to have the ending in the middle. Similarly, it is important for a historically based non-fiction paper to work from the oldest to the most recent. All writing, irrespective of genre and type, must make sense.
3) Drafting - There are a few writers who
