Nanci Tales!
Perhaps it was naivety. I like to think it was optimism. Either way, I turned out to be wrong. Very wrong! At this precise moment in time I have been the proud owner of a beautiful little puppy for less than 24 hours, and she is driving me crazy! And to think I thought it'd be easy to bring up a little Patterdale Terrier. Let me fill you in on the events so far
Saturday Evening 6.30pm
Insane amount of money have been spent on the puppy thus far, and she hasn't even arrived at her new home yet! She has various different sized beds, blankets, toys, towels, leads, collars, soothers and treats. The under-the-stairs cupboard is overflowing with dog-type' items, in anticipation for her arrival.

Money to pay for her with Check
Enough time to get home before the Rugby begins Check
Saturday Evening 7.20pm
Car journey was longer than I had anticipated, so I am speeding down the motorway to try to make it home in time for the opening of the Rugby. Nanci, (the new pup!), does not look too well. In fact, yes, it looks like she has just been sick. All over her nice new blanket. All over the nice clean car. Lovely.
Saturday Evening 11.00pm
Disaster! England has lost the Rugby, and Nanci has managed to do a wee on the only corner of carpet not to be covered in newspaper. I feel like that was deliberate. She seems to have a cheeky streak does out Nanc!
Two minutes later, I walk back into the lounge from the bathroom to find a nice little smelly parcel waiting for me! How can so much stuff come out of one so small? Remind me to never have children!
Sunday Morning 3.10am
"Why won't you go to sleep?" I cry out in vain, as Nanci struggles to kill a trainer that she has pulled out from under my bed. She has been attempting to murder the shoe for the past four hours you would think that she would be bored by nowbut no, the onslaught continues. There appears to be no other option. I will have to turn the light on, clamber out of bed, and play with her for as long as it takes to wear her out!
Sunday Morning 8.35am
Still going she is yet to be worn out'. How much energy can one incy wincy teeny weeny puppy have? Just over 12 hours of owning this little pup, and I am about to break the one rule I promised myself I'd never break. Animals on the bed.
"Come on you", I say as I sweep her up in my arms and plonk her on the duvet. Let's get some sleep.
