Runescape mining guide: How to make more money & other great tips

Making Money in Runescape

Making money in Runescape is simple and easy. Many people would say it's hard and it takes too long. First of all it's not hard and second of all it can be long, depending on which method you choose. I'm going to explain some ways of making money. All the ways I will suggest are ways that I have used.

Goblins
Killing goblins is one of the easiest ways to make money. But not one of the best ways, because money dropped is very little.

Max Money earned: 20gp (per goblin)

Fishing
Fishing is also another good way to make money, if you start fishing when your level 3 to level 50. You will make some good money. Lobsters, which needs level 40 fishing, are worth 200gp each. When you have just started playing Runescape and you want to fish the best place is Port Sarim. Don't go fishing in Draynor Village because 1 it's busy and 2nd of all there are wizards that can attack you. When your inventory is full go to the fishing shop and sell your raw fish. You will get some money depending on what sort of fish, depends how much you get. When you get 40fishing you will have to fish in Karamaja, then go to Varrock and sell them in the banks in the busiest world.
Max Money earned: 3,300gp(full inventory of Lobsters/ Lobbys)

Cowhides
Cowhides are worth 100gp ea. Get 100 cowhides and then go to Al Kharid bank.
Tell everyone that you are selling 100cowhides. Within 2 minutes of saying that you will get 10k for your 100hides. It's best to go to busy worlds when you are selling hides. If you don't want to get the cowhides yourself because of time, maybe ask a friend or make some deals with people.
Max Money earned: 2,800gp(full inventory, 28k if you do it 10times)

Merchanting (I didn't use this method)
My friend always had lots of money in the millions. He told me he did it by merchanting. Merchanting basically means buying things cheaply and selling them for more. You need about 50k to start merchanting. Also remember that merchanting takes time but is one of the best ways to make money.
Money earned: in the thousands depending on what you sell.

I hope these methods will help you to make some good money and have fun playing one of the biggest RPG games around!
