Is an MBA required for "IT" success? The answer is no. Let's say
"Joshua" finds a way to qualify for an IT job without requiring an MBA. He/She studies hard, takes home tests and "tests out," so to speak, to become an IT Tech. This allows one to self-study and complete tests using their own time and effort and complete the requirements to become an IT expert. Does that mean he/she is any less qualified as an "IT" expert than one who has received an MBA? No, this is not the case.
"IT" success relies on someone's ability to understand the computerized intricacies which enable other employees to complete their work quickly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis. An MBA, in this case, is not required to ensure a company's progress. However, an employee with an IT education can make it much easier for each and every employee to accomplish their tasks in a timely and competent manner, which ultimately can result in company success. This allows the company to excel in today's global economy and make profits. In turn, the results benefit all employees involved.
Therefore, those of you considering taking IT seriously, without the pressure of continuing on to an MBA, do not fear. Your skills are definitely needed in the world economy. In fact, it's the only way the world economy will continue on to bigger and better things. Without IT experts, the Stock Market would crumble. Without IT experts schools would falter in their efforts to teach the next generation. Without IT, homes would not contain the many technological conveniences we enjoy.
