Singapore: A First World country

I would choose Singapore as one of the top places I would live in the world. The country has all the amenities of a big city without the hang-ups. It is a young and well-planned city.

The city is clean and efficient. There is little pollution and lots of greenery. It is easy to get around.

Sentosa Beach is just a taxi ride or cable car ride away from the center of the city. The tropical weather is an average of 28-30 celsius and some rainshowers that freshens the air.

The people are friendly and Singapore boasts of its harmonious mix of cultures and religion - Indonesians, Malay, Singaporean-Chinese, Indian, Muslim and Christians. There is also a sizeable expat community. You feel safe walking the streets of Singapore.

My expat friend lived in government run housing. It was a luxurious 3 bedroom detached unit with a garden. Prices for this and other daily goods and luxuries are relatively cheap compared to London, Tokyo and New York. The standard of living is tops.
