To A Friend
Sometimes your thoughts
overcrowd your head
and you need to say
what can't be said.
Sometimes you feel old
and need help to face the day,
but your feelings go untold
because it's something you'd never say.
When the rain begins to pour
and you find yourself on distant shores...
Don't worry...
Just write me a poem...
and I'll find you.
When the nights grow cold
and you need something to hold...
Don't cry...
Write me a poem...
I'll be there.
