The generation today is finding it hard to find in themselves as with all generation's youths the ability for compassion more so because of this ever so changing millennium. It would be no surprise to see an inability to see past a certain trigger of emotion in an apathy that usually rests within us. Such a rapid time we are in now could affect the ones we love or ourselves as 1 to 2 isn't an easy move to make.
In the dating scene growth and lack may come to mean the same thing. A lack of compassion from this relation may mean a growth of compassion from the relation's other end and that is not compassionate. A joke may be considered from a serious, but it may not have been a plan from the joker. As thoughts grow and jealousy rises from a snap this way or that, from the heart or from not the heart, it shines a lack of compassion. In the future, some people think about the past.
The responsibilities and struggles that come from today's world leads us on to believe that there is no end to responsibilities and struggles, and it is probably true as it hasn't stopped yet, so the inability to sympathize leaks harsh and from there a moment to self is called for and 1 to 2 becomes 1 to zero here, but nowhere. Relationships become hard to cross more and more as a realization of aloneness sets in and relating doesn't come as easy in the happy land superficiality. It seems no end for such a 1 to zero.
So, yes, today's youths are lacking compassion. Somebody stole the teddy bear, minimization is maximization, four colored walls are trading spaces, and jiggle becomes juggle.
