BUTTERFLIES AND BOUQUETS
Eyes on the boy in the meadow
Lovingly tracing his shadow
through the lamplight of her soul
Chasing butterflies
and bouquets of love
She believed in ways of morning
Whispering verses of some rhyme
Todays are her tomorrows
Raising Violets
and gardens of hope
He jumps across the Marigolds
Conniving laughter from their gold
The breeze joins in wonderment
Throwing compliments
And kisses of joy
Perhaps today he will notice
Wandering wishes that she sent
Junipers would bow their heads
Unto daffodils
And all their friends
He runs into the lavender
Completing tumbles in the warmth
Surveying where they came from
He finds her wishes
and gardens of hope
Eyes on the girl of the forest
Silently bringing her to him
Now, he is her tomorrows
Chasing butterflies
And bouquets of love
