I almost had to pull over while I was driving down Sunset Boulevard and read that billboard. It made me laugh so hard.

Los Angeles is known for many things. Some good and some, well, let's not talk about those other things.

A lot of people associate LA with film and celebrities. They come from all over the country to peruse a dream in the entertainment industry. However, once you get past all the smoke and mirrors, you see an entirely different city. A growing metropolis strategically located so that you can actually surf and ski all in the same day. That is, if you make it off the golf course or past some of the world's best restaurants.

Los Angeles is rich with history and culture, and as with any great city, a bit of lore for the inquisitive. The quintessential early Americana, aka "melting pot" of the planet. I would be surprised to hear if there was any ethnicity that does not have representation in the south land.

I can't think of anywhere else you would get to see a 2007 Bentley convertible at a stop light next to a 1972 Pinto (ticked out of course).

Yeah we got some smog but baby, I don't care! When it clears away the views are absolutely amazing.

At the end of the day I often think of the song they play at the Kings games ... "I love LA".
