Everybody should know how to butter up thier boss because sometimes we want a raise or other things from our boss. You have to be a good employee and then do ohter things to make your boss happy. Your can help your boss with things before he asks for them like if you know when he is going to need something you can have it first. if you want a raise, you might get it if he knows that you are a good empoloyee. You have to be careful because sometime other people in the office think you are just trying to get ahead of them even when you are just wanting a rasie you deserve. if everybody in the office wants raise you can all work together and try to get it for the whole office. some boss don't like to give people money they deserve so they have to work extra hard and tell them that they will quit if they don't get it. My friend was workign in a store and only was making minimum wages and somebody else got hired with less experience got more money and she started to work more hours because she wanted the boss to appreciate her. he finally gave her more money after she work over time for a month and she was making more than the new guy. After that the boss appreciated her and her work more and she was assistant manager after a while. you have to leanr to butter up the boss just a little bit to help your career and make more moneh.
