Comic books: Where have all the heroes gone?

Where have all the heroes gone? Well I believe that as long as there are comic books the heroes we love to read about in every issue will always be with us. Yes the modern age of comics has brought new characters and more choices but the classic super heroes such as Superman, Batman and Spider-man will live on. I feel that writers and creators like Stan Lee will help to keep the heroes alive. There are many other type heroes in the history of comic books.

One example is Walt Disney. He got into comic books. The earliest of these was Mickey Mouse Book. It was printed in the early thirties. We all know what kind of hero Mickey Mouse became to all the young in the world even today. If you think about it comics have been around a long time.

Around 1900, the terms "comics" and "comic strip" came into common use in the United States. Where did the word come from? The strips of pictures being printed in magazines and newspapers at that time were all funny or comic. At first newspaper comic strips were called "the funnies" and later the term comics became more popular. Early American comic books were often collections of reprints of newspaper comic strips.

So, where have all the heroes gone? No where. They will always be with us as long as we allow them too.
