I really do think that EXPERIENCING is a vital role in education, a major part which makes it fun....imagine this: if you were to choose between reading a 20 page report on a certain subject versus doing an experiment on that particular subject, which would you most likely prefer? I'd choose the experiment any day!
Ever heard of the saying, "Experience is the best teacher?" I firmly believe in this...because experiencing something most likely involves 2 or more of your senses, which in turn would help you retain information, & also helps you understand the lesson better...The multi-sensory approach I think is more effective + it makes learning fun...because it brings out anticipation among the students & it makes the student think-of the cause, of the probable effect a certain act will do.
So if you want to add fun in education-let it be interactive so that students learn & understand better...:)
