Managing people to meet certain goals , you must have a game plan . If your a project manager you will have many different departments working toward common goals at the same time . They have to be done efficiently and on a timely basis . When you have many jobs , to be done with in a weeks time , it is important to have a visible time line graph for workers to see and check off on , as jobs are completed .

Meetings daily will determine the status of jobs not completed , and give you a sense to other jobs that need more attention , that way you can locate more workers to a specific task . The time line graph will have many jobs that will take longer than others , so as workers finish jobs and check off on them , they can be relocated to help with the more labor intensive jobs .

The time line graphs are very necessary for workers working independently with little or no supervision . This in turn frees up the supervisor to make sure people are doing their job efficiently and safely . Different color lines on the graph will let the department workers know what jobs they have for that day . Any problems such as lack of parts , waiting for new equipment to arrive can be discussed by managers and supervisors and added to the bottom of the graph as to when they will be shipped in . This system works , and it helps manage workers and cut down on wasted time .
